Carol H. Moore
Born in Live Oak, Florida, Carol has always had a love for animals, nature and state’s incredible ecology. Her ties to Florida extend back almost 175 years, when her ancestors arriving in the Live Oak area by covered wagon. Throughout her childhood, she enjoyed exploring the rural environment and befriending the farm animals she spent her days with.
Carol received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Florida State University and taught second grade in Gainesville, Florida while her husband Ed obtained his law degree. Ed and Carol then returned to the Tallahassee area to raise their three children on Moore Farm. The farm was home to cows, horses, chickens, peacocks, turkeys, cats, dogs, ducks, rabbits and goats, all of whom have featured in Carol’s books.
Carol’s goal is to educate our precious children and teach them meaningful life lessons. “I want all children to know they are much wished for, longed for, prayed for and forever loved.” She has published six illustrated children’s books, which collectively form the I Wish You Ice Cream & Cake series.
